Dr Dennis Gross SpectraLite FaceWare Pro Features & Benefits
Red Light Setting
If you want to have any chance of stopping aging and improving your skin health then you need a red light.
And the FaceWare Pro has plenty of it.
Featuring 100 red light diodes, the FaceWare Pro will shine these lights directly on your face. Compared to other popular red light therapy devices, the FaceWare is a mask and bring you as close as possible to the beneficial light rays.
Overall, the main benefits of the red light mode are skin firming and evening skin tone by boosting collagen and elastin production.
Blue Light Setting
Another color of light? Yes, that’s right. We have blue light.
As a matter of fact, blue light is one of the most important types of light. It fights our arch-nemesis that is acne.
The blue colored wavelength is able to kill acne causing bacteria leaving you pimple free.
The Dr Dennis Gross SpectraLite uses 62 blue light diodes to zap away any bacteria that sits on top of your epidermis.
Acne will never stand a chance.
Giving you the best of both worlds, there is a combination mode in the FaceWare Pro.
The combined mode provides both LED lights, red light and blue light treatment.
In this mode, the SpectraLite FaceWare Pro was able to stimulate collagen production and kill acne causing bacteria.
At the same time!
So how does the DRx SpectraLite Pro stay on our face?
Using the ultra-hygienic silicone strap.
Getting the mask situated is very easy. Here are the steps we used:
- Grab the strap with one hand and the bottom of the mask with your other hand
- Pull the strap outwards to create space for your head to fit in
- Bring the strap and mask over your head then place the device comfortably over your face. Make sure the mask is snug and the strap is just above your ears
With the strap, the SpectraLite Pro will be tightly fitted over your face. This way the light rays can go straight onto your face and penetrate deep into your skin.
Automatic Shut Off
One of our favorite features on the Dr Dennis Gross FaceWare Pro is the automatic shutoff timer.
We can multitask. Who doesn’t love improving your facial skin and getting other work done.
The FaceWare Pro automatically shuts off after 3 minutes of effective and efficient treatment.
All the treatment takes is 3 minutes per session. With the programmed treatment time, this device from Dr Dennis Gross will let you know when treatment is done. So you don’t have to remember.
Is The SpectraLite FaceWare Pro Worth It?
Yes. We certainly think so.
We feel this way for a few reasons.
First, you not only get the benefits of red light, but also blue light. At the same time. The red light helps with collagen production. And the blue light can destroy acne causing bacteria.
Next, the Dr Dennis Gross SpectraLite FaceWare Pro is a mask rather than a light stand. This means the light is much closer to your face. It can even provide light therapy for your neck area! This mask from Dr Dennis Gross will be able to maximize all of the light that is able to get to your skin.
Finally, the FaceWare Pro features a strap and a timer for effectiveness and efficiency.
We have reviewed many different light therapy devices. And this one is definitely top of its class.
How Often Should You Use The Dr Dennis Gross LED Mask?
According to our board certified dermatologist, you need to use red and blue light therapy for approximately 6 to 8 sessions before you can see noticeable results.
So what does this mean for us? How often should we use it per week?
Depending on what else you are doing for your skin, we saw the best results when we used the SpectraLite FaceWare Pro 2 to 3 times a week. After about 2 weeks we noticed some solid improvements in our skin.
What we saw was visible firmness, less wrinkles, and less inflammation. This is all thanks to the red and blue LED lights.
How Do You Use Dr Dennis Gross SpectraLite FaceWare Pro?
As mentioned before, the process to use the DRx SpectraLite FaceWare Pro was extremely easy.
Once you have the LED light therapy mask fully charged (2 to 4 hours), you are ready to go.
Here are the main steps you want to take for treatment.
- Hold the securing strap and LED mask, fit over and onto your face
- Adjust the mask to make sure the FaceWare Pro is perfectly snug and reasonably tight
- Turn on on the LED mask for treatment and then wait until the 3 minute shut off
That’s it! We thought the whole process was easy to do and pain free.
Is The Dr Dennis Gross LED Mask FDA Approved?
One thing we always make sure we check on is safety.
Not only was the SpectraLite FaceWare Pro from Dr Dennis Gross painless. But it has also been approved by the FDA.
The Food & Drug Administration has an army of scientists and engineers to vet each product. They are not messing around.
Given, the FDA has approved this device. It means that it is safe enough for anyone to use.
